Nederlandse moslims voelen zich vaker gediscrimineerd dan hun geloofsgenoten in andere EU-lidstaten. Dat blijkt uit een onderzoek dat het Europese Agentschap voor Grondrechten vandaag heeft gepubliceerd.
Als het gaat om discriminatie op grond van religie voelen moslims in Nederland zich zelfs het vaakst gediscrimineerd. Maar liefst 30% ervoer in de afgelopen vijf jaar discriminatie op religieuze gronden.
Alleen als het gaat om discriminatie op grond van herkomst wordt Nederland door een ander EU-land overtroffen. In Griekenland ervaar maar liefst 52% van alle moslims dit. In Nederland ‘slechts’ 42%.
Desondanks is het percentage Nederlanders dat zegt liever geen moslims als buren te hebben in Nederland juist wat lager…
