Der designierte tschechische Ministerpräsident Andrej Babis will keine Flüchtlinge in seinem Land aufnehmen und lehnt die EU-weite Verteilung über eine Quote ab.
Dem Nachrichtenmagazin „Focus“ sagte Babis auf die Frage, ob sein Land bereit sei, nach der Quote Flüchtlinge aufzunehmen: „Nein, weil das keine Lösung ist. Wir wollen hier nicht, dass uns jemand sagt, welche Flüchtlinge wir nehmen sollen.“
Er erklärte, die EU könne „nicht den ganzen Planeten retten“. Babis bezeichnete die illegale Migration als „das größte Problem Europas“. Zugleich sagte er: „Ich bin pro-europäisch. Europa ist ein Superprodukt.“
