Two out of three women claim to have been sexually harassed

Domestic. A total of 66 percent of Swedish women between the ages of 16 and 80 indicate that they have been sexually harassed. It shows a new Sifo survey carried out on behalf of the Hjärnfonden.

In the survey, 41 percent of women respond that they have felt mentally ill after being subjected to sexual harassment.

One quarter states that it has been sexually harassed in the workplace and one-fifth that they have been exposed during the study period.

International studies show that every other Swedish woman considers sexual harassment to be a sex joke. About 60 percent of women aged 18-30 believe that bus visas are sexual harassment and every fifth think that the same applies to compliments about appearance...
